WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY DEGREE?
Summit’s degrees have been used in many areas of business, education, counseling, and private enterprise. For example, our Leadership Degrees have been accepted by businesses, and corporations. Our students with Counseling Degrees have been hired by churches to help with their congregational needs, and our graduates have started a private practice in counseling. Also, in special situations federal and state groups have hired our graduates who are specialists in things like drug additions, or who knowledgeable in people skills.
Many Summit graduates have started non-profit ministries to help people. To date Summit Bible College degrees have not been turned down by any ministries, and we know of several cases where people have transferred credits from SBC to other accredited colleges.
When a student goes to an employer with the SBC transcripts, the employer is more interested that you have a degree, rather than where it is from, and often they want to see the type of classes you had. In Summit’s case, when an employer sees that you have classes in Team Development, Individual Leadership, Vision, Counseling and the like, they are impressed by your experiences.
Remember, even federally accredited college degrees and credits do not necessarily apply to specific jobs or transfer to other accredited colleges. It depends on the “receiving” college’s desire to accept the credits and several other factors such as the type of class, the requirements of the new program, and the policies of the receiving college.

IS SBC ACCREDITTED?
SBC has been an IRS 501c3 non-profit religious organization since 1996. It is authorized to issue degrees in Theology.
Summit is a member in good standing with the Christian accreditation group called the Association of Christian Educators and Administrators (ACEA) https://www.acea-schools.org/partners.html
Summit operates its home office in the State of California. California’s stance on religious colleges is that there is ‘a separation of church and state’. California neither approves or disapproves Summit’s status. This is actually a benefit because Summit is able to offer creative, beneficial, spiritual programs without a hindrance from the state.
